Hello, Good Evening! We are starting the day with an album that I was not taking in consideration to Loronix. I was not confident on showing an artist credited only as Dalton. However, a Google search for another artist made a reference to a page inside All Music (one of the greatest music portal at the Internet), showing a biography about Dalton, which is in fact Dalton Vogeler, grandson of the conductor Henrique Vogeler and son of the violinist Carlos Vogeler Gomes.
It is amazing that AMG brings a biography of an pretty obscure musician such like Dalton Vogeler. He recorded only two LPs in the late 50's, being a very active musician in 60's, playing his sax and bass on many nightclubs, being also sideman of renowned musicians. Let's see.
This is Quinteto de Dalton - O Melhor da Festa (1959), for International, featuring the sax of Dalton Vogeler with other four not credited musicians of his quintet. I recommend that you take a time to read Dalton Voleger in AMG, meanwhile, stay with O Melhor da Festa and Quinteto de Dalton. Tracks include:
01 - Beija-me (Roberto Martins / Mário Rossi)
02 - Mistura Fina (Luis Bandeira)
03 - Fascination (F. D. Marchetti)
04 - Who's Sorry Now (T. Snyder / B. Kalmar / H. Ruby)
05 - Quando Anoitece (Waldemar Gomes / Cícero Nunes)
06 - Brigas Nunca Mais (Tom Jobim / Vinicius de Moraes)
07 - Accarezzame (P. Calvi / Nisa)
08 - Nalani (A. Kaleolani)
09 - Perfume de Gardênia (R. Hernandez)
10 - Sin Ti (Pepe Guizar)
11 - Recado (Djalma Ferreira / Luis Antônio)
12 - Triste Fim (Carlos S. Lima / Jaime Storino)

Good one Zeca.
Hello Brian,
Thank You!
Your feedback on these obscure late 50's albums is a guarantee of more to come.
Cheers, zeca
Mais uma boa pedida Zeca. Confesso que nunca tinha ouvido falar em Dalton. O avô,Henrique Vogeler, juntamente com Luis Peixoto foi um dos autores de "Linda Flor", também conhecida como "Ai Ioiô".
