When I received from Caetano Rodrigues his wonderful Bossa Nova book, came to my attention that this record was highlighted on a whole page with Caetano's own comments. So I decided to give it a new try and since then I'm blaming myself everyday for not taking this LP in consideration earlier, thanks to Caetano for it.
Thanks also Mr. X that without knowing this story has recently provided a high quality vinyl rip of Mitchell & Ruff - A Viagem (1966), for Forma to Loronixers. Where everything matches, working is very easy. I will let you with personnel listing and tracks; take a special consideration to this unique release.

A beauty! Was released in the U.S. as - Brazilian Trip [1966 Epic]
The U.S. release "Brazilian Trip" is out on CD (www.oldies.com) but
this release left of track Nr.10
"Mais uma vez".
Thank you for this stunning album. If memory serves, Billy Strayhorn so loved this duo he wrote a piano and french horn sonta for them.
Obrigado pelo disco. Realmente muito bom.
This is a truly lovely recording. The more I listen to it, the more I like it. Thank you for such a nice surprise.
Durval Ferreira told me that he met Mitchell & Ruff in Rio when they were part of one of those US State Department tours.
They were so impressed by the local musicians and they had a professional tape recorder. So the guys jammed together and recorded this tape which later came out on Roberto Quartin's Forma label but was released on EPIC in the US without the consent or knowledge of Durval and co back in Rio.
It's a lovely record though!

Hello, I found your page looking for the piano sheet music for the song "Sem Mais Chorar" one of the most beautiful in this record. Its been one of the favorite LPs in my music collection. I bought it way back then in a record sale in New Orleans, while i was attending college there. Well I have not succeeded in finding the piano score, but I found that I am not alone in my appreciation of this music.
Peace
Francisco Nebel
