It is a beautiful LP, excellent for those who are looking for a Vinicius de Moraes panorama. There is an instrumental track performed by Sergio Mendes with Bossa Rio, Ella es Carioca, credited by mistake as Bossa Trio. Lalo Schifrin also has a stake, closing the album with Insensatez. Tracks include:
01 - Samba para Vinicius - Toquinho y Chico Buarque
02 - Ella es Carioca - Sergio Mendes y Bossa Trio
03 - Modinha - Elis Regina
04 - Samba de Regresso - Vinicius y Toquinho
05 - Maria Marta - Nara Leao
06 - Samba de Bendicion - Vinicius y Quarteto em Cy
07 - La Chica de Ipanema - Antonio Carlos Jobim
08 - Olha Maria - Chico Buarque
09 - Canto de Ossanha - Baden Powell
10 - Soneto de Reparacion - Elis Regina y Tom Jobim
11 - Tarde de Itapoa - Toquinho
12 - Insensatez - Lalo Schifrin

This is so beautiful. I love "Samba para Vinicius", even if I don't understand all of the lyrics. The love is so strongly conveyed in that song.
I'm also glad to see Chico Buarque's version of "Olha Maria" included. I have this elsewhere in my collection, and I think it's a masterpiece (even if it does borrow the same arrangement as Jobim's version on "Terra Brasilis").
Anyway, I think I have most of these tracks in my collection already, but I must say this is a fantastic selection for a triibute compilation. Many thanks to the beautiful green bird, and of course to Pablo in Argentina!
This is a real gift for all planet lovers of the "authentic bossa nova"; a rich brazilian music period, unfortunately no more available. Thanks for this precious piece of jewellery.
Can you put it again..rapidhares' file already expired...in the name of Vinicius...please
Hi zecaluro! Just a note that this album was also released in Uruguay.
I purchased a copy this week that was printed in Uruguay, has 1979 as the year and has a different back cover (in black & white). It has the same Philips cat# and the only difference on the front cover is the cat# is printed above the Philips logo the same way it is on the back cover.
Track listing and order is exactly the same. Here is a partial scan:

Hello,
This is a really beautiful album and this Uruguayan issue is something that I did not know.
I remember this copy was from a friend from Argentina. It is good to see how music connects us all.
Thanks for commenting and for the scan.
Kind regards,
zeca
