Hello, Good Night! I have to admit that sometimes I use to accept assumptions as facts. Not a good behavior that once in a while takes you by surprise. Ribamar is a nice example. On my green head, Ribamar was always associated as a composer and eventually a singer, taking as example his LP with Tito Madi.
Ribamar is not only a composer, he is also an excellent pianist, working at nightclubs and starting his professional career accompanying Dolores Duran. Let's see what happens with Ribamar e Seu Conjunto - Duas Faces de Amor (196?), for Equipe. There something obscure with this LP, the discographies I could search, it is listed as Duas Faces de Amor, but as you can see by the front cover, the title is different, Nosso Encontro de Amor. Since this LP was given to zecalouro several months ago, I cannot remember the friend who gave it to check this issue. Anyway, if this friend is still around, please comment or send an email, it will be greatly appreciated. Tracks include:
- A Noite do Meu Bem (Dolores Duran)
- Segredo (Herivelto Martins / Marino Pinto) -- Nunca (Lupicínio Rodrigues)
- Duas Contas (Garoto) -- Dó-ré-mi (Fernando César)
- Alguém Como Tu (José Maria de Abreu / Jair Amorim) -- Não Tem Solução (Dorival Caymmi / Carlos Guinle)
- Cansei de Ilusões (Tito Madi) -- Molambo (Jaime Florence "Meira" / Augusto Mesquita)
- Canção de Amor (Elano de Paula / Chocolate) -- Canção da Volta (Ismael Netto / Antônio Maria)
- Não Tenho Você (Paulo Marques / Ari Monteiro) -- Se Você Se Importasse (Peterpan)
- Folhas Mortas (Ary Barroso) -- Prece (Vadico / Marino Pinto)
- Ninguém Me Ama (Fernando Lobo / Antônio Maria) -- Se Eu Morrese Amanhã (Antônio Maria)
- Foi a Noite (Tom Jobim / Newton Mendonça) -- Neste Mesmo Lugar (Klécius Caldas / Armando Cavalcanti)
