This album comes from the last large-scale contribution. I confess that I did not take it as something good to our community. Today I took it for a hearing with zeca and we felt like winning a lottery first prize. I don't know who is Roberto Rutz, the other albums he made and the year Licao de Ritmo was released, but the album is solid from the start to end.
This is Roberto Rutz | Orgao & Ritmo - Licao de Ritmo, for Damic. Roberto Rutz is an artist that worth an investigation, Licao de Ritmo is pure entertainment and happiness. Side A is dedicated to Samba, with 6 infectious songs with Roberto Rutz making a very intelligent use of organ and piano. Side A is dedicated to several styles with Roberto Rutz delivering Samba Jazz, Bossa Nova, Blues until the great closing with another awesome Samba rendition. Unfortunately, not everything is so perfect, the album was scratch and you will find some jumps at the song Cade o Pandeiro and eventual clicks and clacks. Tracks include:
01 - Porquoi - Na Piedade - Tamborim
02 - Pergunte ao Joao - Cade o Pandeiro - Se Quiser Pode ir
03 - Menino Desce Dai
04 - Corcovado
05 - Arrivederci Roma
06 - Almost Like Being in Love
07 - Silibando Mambo
08 - Chicletes com Banana

Hi, Zeca!
In my opinion, Celso Murilo may be the real name of Roberto Rutz!!!
Murilo's LP "Mr. Ritmo" on Pawal (Br) was reprinted as "Na Base Da Bossa" on Damic and his "Sambas Na Pasarela" (Pawal) was reissued as "Murmurio" also on Damic.
Do you have "O Rapaz Do Piston (Equipe) by Celinho?
Thanks again for good music!
bossanov,
How are you?
This is a great hint on the identification of Mr. Ruiz. Claudio Fragnan should know this, although organ playing is very reduced for Mutilo standards here.
I do not have O Rapaz do Piston, check with Quimsy or sabadabada. Who knows.
Cheers, zeca
